Last week was another great week to be a Soroptimist. I was able to deliver the check for my President's Project to the Peg Taylor Center, along with Joyce Brown, Kim Huber, and Carol Burr.
Kim Huber and Carol Burr also delivered a check to The Boys and Girls Club to help with their Phoenix Program.
We inducted another new member last week. Welcome Carla Bee.
Bonnie Chapman, Kimm Randle, Nancy Hanson, Carolyn Dusenbury, Kathy Erickson and I, went to support SI South Yuba in their chartering event. New clubs don't start very often, so this was fun to be a part of. Good luck to SISY. They started their club with 23 members. How excellent is that?
Way to go SI Chico, we got the word out about Live Your Dream Award and we ended up with 10 applicants.
This week we will have Christmas in November. We encourage you to bring a friend, so they can see how much fun we have.
I want to thank all of you who brought items for the 6th Street Drop-In Center. The donations were fabulous, and Carolyn had to have help to her car. Carolyn has extended the donation period to Wednesday. It looks like they are still in need of first aid supplies, slightly used bedding, gloves, beanie hats, and gift cards. If you would like to make a monetary contribution, make checks out to 6th Street Drop-In Center so you can get a tax deduction.
Thanks again, for being a Soroptimist with SI Chico, see you Wednesday!
