November is for Gratitude and Stewardship November 4, 2019

Head's Note
November marks the month we at Crossroads celebrate and explore the virtue of gratitude, the capacity to honor and thank the people, communities, and institutions that nourish us and comfort us in times of need. My family and I are particularly conscious at this moment of our gratitude for our community here at Crossroads and in the Upper Valley as we mourn the recent loss of our children's beloved grandmother, Edie. While we will m
iss her always; we are humbled by the opportunity to recognize the importance of gratitude and the loving kindness of colleagues and friends. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Yours truly, Brad

Does Your Child Have a November Birthday?
Consider celebrating with your child by participating in the Birthday Book Club! By purchasing a book from the library's wishlist, your child may decorate a bookplate and take a photo with their book for our birthday book wall. Then, they can donate the book to the library's permanent collection.
Families with student birthdays in November will be contacted individually via email with more details on how to participate. Contact Librarian Amanda Brodsky for more information

Operation
Gratitude
Donate your leftover Halloween Candy!
The virtue for the month of November is gratitude. One way we would like to show gratitude is to invite all students and families to donate leftover, excess, or unwanted Halloween candy to send to Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is an organization that assembles care packages for veterans, first responders, and members of the military. Following Halloween, there will be a donation bag set out for students to donate candy during drop-off, as well as donation bags in the Middle and Lower Schools. Student volunteers will assist in sorting, weighing, and packaging the donated candy at school. Thank you for participating in this small act of appreciation!

Why is the Annual Fund Important for the School?
The Annual Fund is the school's most important fundraising effort because it provides the greatest impact. It plays a key role in helping to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating each student. A difference of
$2,500
per student!
Help us meet our goal by January 1, 2020
