Lord, may Your grace enable me to be steadfast in the desire to serve You, seeking holy purpose, not just in prayer, but even in the small tasks that I do. Amen. | |
Principal's Letter
Dear families,
Last Friday evening after I got home and put my children to bed, I had a little bit of time to quietly reflect on my day. I was honestly speechless and filled with gratitude. The entire day was filled with little moments of blessings, and it took me time to be able to describe the beautiful moments that I witnessed throughout our day together. Today, I thought I would share a few of the highlights from Friday:
- In the Hope Building, students wrote the Our Father in many of the languages that are spoken in Africa. The display created a visual reminder that regardless of the language that we speak, we all pray the same prayer to the same God.
- During the Cultural Fashion Show, it was great to see so many students proudly parade through the pavilion. I enjoyed watching siblings walk together showcasing their clothing with pride.
- At the spirit rally, the students practiced saying hello in multiple languages. The sounds of bonjour, привет (privet), hola, and 你好 (nǐhǎo) echoed through the pavilion.
All these moments happened before the Taste of the World event which was one of my favorite parts of the day.
In my opinion, food unites people. There is something special to share a dish with another person whether you are enjoying something yummy or making something special. I really enjoyed tasting the dishes from each country that was present. The dishes were made and shared with love. I also enjoyed listening to stories, seeing photos, and looking at the different saints from the various countries.
To all the families who shared, thank you. To all the families who came, thank you. I was deeply humbled to see our community come together to celebrate the beautiful gifts that each person brings to Holy Family. I hope that this will be the start of a new celebration!
God Bless,
Erin Vu

Announcing our new visitor management system!
We are rolling out SchoolPass, a visitor management and student check-in/check-out system in our front office. Visitors and students will be able to check-in and check-out using the kiosk on the counter in the front office where the paper sign-in sheets are located. This new system is another step toward enhancing our overall campus security and safety, and will eventually integrate with our attendance, hall pass and end of day dismissal processes in the future. Watch for a welcome email with instructions for installing the SchoolPass App. With the app, parents will be able to enter early pickup, late arrival and absence information for their children. The App can also display a QR code for quick scanning at the Kiosk.
Please note: At this time, we will NOT be utilizing the end of day dismissal features (including Driver, Carpool and Pickup Areas) of the SchoolPass app. End of day dismissal will continue to utilize Pikmykid.

Angel Fund Appeal
You should have received your Angel Fund annual appeal materials in the mail by now. If you haven’t, please send an email to advancement@holyfamilycs.org. There was a delay by the post office, and we want to ensure everyone has received their appeal materials. For those of you who have already made their gift or sent in their pledge form, thank you so very much. Our students are the direct beneficiaries of your generosity. We have received gifts and pledges totaling over $75,000! Let's all come together to keep the momentum going! We would love to have as many gifts or commitment cards turned in before thanksgiving break as possible. So, please take some time in the coming week to stop and discern your gift to this year's appeal. Every dollar you give will benefit each area of our student's educational journey in the coming year. Again, if you won't be making your gift now, please fill out the commitment card that was included in your mailing so that we can include your pledge into our on-going totals to share with the community!
If you have any questions about the appeal or need help discerning your giving options, please contact Gina Kerley, Director of Advancement at gkerley@holyfamily.org.
Thank you in advance for your participation. Let's try to get hit our goal of $330,000 before the end of this calendar year!
PS - Don't forget that your donation gives parent participation points to each of your children in the Fall Class Competition for a Cookie Decorating Party in December!

RaiseRight
Raise Right Invite Codes were sent out last week. This gift card program is an additional way to support the school and share with your family and friends should they wish to support the school without costing anything. That's right, you earn money for Holy Family by shopping for your everyday household items.
Watch this video to see how impactful the Raise Right program can be for Holy Family. A family can raise up to $1,000-$1,600 per year by using gift cards purchased through RaiseRight at face value to do their ordinary shopping! All those who register for RaiseRight between now and December 31 and make gift card 3 purchases will receive a $5.00 Amazon gift card as an incentive from RaiseRight.
As you begin your Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping or travels, RaiseRight is the place to go! I just purchased our family Christmas pajamas at Old Navy. I added everything to my cart, went to my RaiseRight app, purchased the Old Navy egift cards that I needed, used them to make my purchase and earned 14% of my purchased for Holy Family – all in less than 5 minutes! I will also purchase Southwest egift cards to purchase my airline tickets for our Christmas travel. SO EASY!
