Seabrook, TX: Lakewood Yacht Club joined forces with Houston Yacht Club to organize the 2021 Texas Youth Race Week, July 8-11.
This unique event offered four days of racing with Optis and Lasers coming from many teams around Texas and provided all sorts of weather conditions as usual for this time of the year.
A total of 85 sailors raced in the event, which served as the second qualifier of the year for the 2022 USODA Team Trials. The Lakewood Opti Team dominated the event. The following 11 LYC sailors have secured their spot for the 2022 USODA Team Trials:

Speaking about results, the Lakewood Seahorses, again, dominated almost every fleet with overall wins in every fleet except Green Fleet, and claiming many of the awards that were up for grabs while showing why LYC's is one of the premier sailing programs in the country.
