Dear Friend:

Year after year, we're blown away by the passion and dedication demonstrated by our Watershed Heroes.

Join us to celebrate their efforts and network with regional clean water leaders and our Partner Alliance, all while enjoying a menu of local treats.
Please join us Wednesday, May 15 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at the iconic Globe Dye Works to honor these amazing water stewards.

See you at Milestones,
Julie

Welcome, Dallas!
From schools to scout troops, requests for watershed lessons across our 30 square miles have grown significantly. We are pleased to see this interest in opportunities to improve our creeks. In addition to our cargo trike, the Creekmobile, we recently expanded our educational outreach capacity by hiring a part-time educator, Dallas Cederberg, to strengthen and support our programs.

With extensive expertise in environmental education, he has already led a number of programs, most recently a Bio-Blitz with Jenkintown Cub Scout Troop 210 along the Tookany Creek as part of the City Nature Challenge. We hope you’ll get to meet him soon!
Tabor Gatew ay gets a facelift!
Neighbors who live along Olney Avenue across from Tacony Creek Park and visitors who enter the Olney Avenue and Tabor Gateway will enjoy a beautiful new colorful and safer entrance starting this Spring! Thanks to the support of the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and a Fertilizer Fund grant from the Garden Club of Philadelphia, we have installed a new gate and boulders to keep vehicles out of the Park, and welcome walkers, runners, and bike riders. Working with residents and volunteers, we planted native trees, shrubs, and flowers that will bring birds and butterflies to this enhanced gateway. We look forward to working with neighbors to maintain this gateway, as well as to host lots of programs at this site!

A special thanks to the intrepid volunteers from CSAA Insurance Group for making this project a reality!
Drumroll, please!
