Of those whom TEF services, 55 percent have listed RN as their career goal or wish to move forward along another advanced nursing career pathway. Financial assistance is available for those enrolled in registered nurse programs; associate of applied science in nursing programs; Bachelor of Science (BSN) in nursing programs, including RN to BSN; and Master of Science in nursing programs, including for nurse practitioner and other advanced nursing degrees. TEF also provides case management and academic advising for 1199SEIU members enrolled in nursing programs, as well as exit-to-employment workshops and help with resume writing for recently graduated or certified nurses who are searching for jobs. Recent graduates preparing for licensure can take TEF’s NCLEX-RN test prep and review courses. For more information, members may email Rosemary.Robinson@1199Funds.org.
