The 1199SEIU Benefit and Pension Funds' Joint Annual Trustees Meeting Comes at Important Time

This year, the Boards of Trustees for the 1199SEIU Benefit and Pension Funds are set to convene for their Joint Annual Trustees Meeting offsite in Manhattan on June 16. This event will review the Benefit and Pension Funds’ operations and key achievements and their Healthy Living Initiative, as well as discuss strategic directions for the future. A reception and dinner will follow the Joint Meeting, featuring Matthew Fuentes, a distinguished speaker from Washington, D.C. and partner at Avenue Solutions, who will share valuable insights into the federal issues impacting the healthcare industry at this time. The gathering promises to be an enriching experience for trustees.

The Career Pathways Training Program Featured in Westchester Magazine

The Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program was recently featured in Westchester Magazine. The article highlights the inspiring story of 1199SEIU member Angelique Brown, a Certified Nursing Assistant at Dumont Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care in New Rochelle, who is working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Mercy University in pursuit of her ultimate goal of becoming a healthcare attorney. About her CPT Program experience, Angelique tells the magazine, “The program has allowed me to feel seen, encouraged and capable.
