Benefit Funds Announce Ochsner Digital Medicine Partnership

Effective May 1, the Benefit Funds are partnering with Ochsner Digital Medicine to bring a new program to 1199SEIU members. Ochsner uses technology and data to help members living with hypertension and/or Type 2 diabetes better manage their conditions, without extra visits to the doctor.

Through the program, eligible members and their dependents age 18 years and older may receive a free blood pressure cuff and/or glucometer that will transmit readings to the Ochsner care team. Monitoring these readings, the care team manages participants’ medications to help ensure they are receiving appropriate treatment and dosages. In addition, participants use Ochsner’s digital app to track their progress, receive alerts and reminders from their care team, and access professional health coaching and lifestyle resources that they can use to build healthy habits. For more information, members may visit Ochsner’s website.
