The 1199SEIU Training and Employment Funds (TEF) are offering the third in a series of orientations for members interested in receiving assistance through the New York State Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program. TEF is one of three organizations recently awarded a total of $646 million through the CPT Program to recruit and train healthcare workers in selected occupational shortage areas. The orientations—which begin December 3 and continue throughout the month, either remotely or in person—will focus on members interested in careers as licensed mental health counselors, social workers, credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselors, physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Participants will learn more about the CPT Program and the educational financial support they may receive, such as tuition assistance, tutoring support services and job placement assistance. Members may visit MyTEF to view the schedule and to register. |
