The Home Care Benefit Fund has launched its annual campaign encouraging Home Care members to get vaccinated against seasonal influenza to protect themselves, their families and their clients from the virus. The Benefit Fund has begun reaching out to members through emails and social media channels. Flu shots are being offered in September and October at the Benefit Fund’s Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx and Hicksville sites. Members may make an appointment for a flu shot by visiting the Wellness Program scheduler, which is available in English, Spanish, Mandarin and Russian, or by calling (646) 473-8960, option 3. In addition, as new variants of the COVID-19 virus circulate, the Benefit Fund is encouraging members to check if their doctor recommends a COVID-19 booster. As a reminder, members enrolled in health coverage through the Benefit Fund can receive vaccinations from their participating provider or pharmacy with no out-of-pocket costs. |
