Child Care Funds Hold FALC Annual Science Fair

The 1199SEIU Child Care Funds’ Future of America Learning Center (FALC) will hold its 28th annual science fair on Saturday, April 6, which will ask the question, “Reducing, Reusing and Recycling: How Do These Practices Impact the Quality of Our Environment?” This year, young FALC scholars, ages 2 to 5, will take a scientific journey to explore the impact of these efforts on the quality of the environment where members and their children live. The children will explore how people can adjust their habits to help their communities, as well as ways to spread the word about the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling for the environment. The science fair gives the children an opportunity to engage with their classmates, teachers and families in projects and exhibits that promote critical thinking; conduct hands-on experiments to test hypotheses; and present their findings.

FALC is committed to serving as a catalyst for change and transformative learning by providing children with a nurturing, safe and stimulating educational environment, as well as cultural, racial, ethnic and economic diversity that fosters cooperative experiences. For more information about FALC, visit www.1199SEIUBenefits.org/FALC.
