Effective November 1, the Home Care Benefit Fund is expanding access to more behavioral health providers—psychologists, mental health counselors and social workers—for teens through its Teladoc benefit. The Teladoc Adolescent Mental Health service gives members access to licensed therapists who specialize in supporting teenagers experiencing anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance use disorders, difficulty navigating relationships and more.
Members simply add their dependent child, age 13 to 17, to their existing Teladoc account, and complete consent and intake forms. They can then search for a therapist and select a day and time to meet. Parents (or guardians of eligible children) are required to attend the beginning of the first therapy session only. Please share this information with your 1199SEIU members. They may visit www.Teladoc.com, or call (800) TELADOC (835-2362).
