Hi all,

I will be holding office hours in the Yawkey Cafeteria at the following dates and times:
1/26 from 12pm-2pm
2/6 from 5pm-7pm
2/21 from 5pm-7pm.

The diversity committee will be holding its first meeting on 2/2 from 2pm-4pm in the Yawkey Cafeteria.

The next all day drop-in meeting will be held on Monday 1/30 between 8am and 8pm in the Yawkey A Conference Room.

If you haven't completed the Contract Bargaining Committee Nomination Form, please do so.
The contract bargaining committee is different from being a delegate. The contract bargaining committee meets only to bargain the contract whereas delegates are resources for their units for their entire term in office.

The deadline to nominate a member contract bargaining committee will be on 1/30/2023 during the all day drop in meeting in the Yawkey A Conference Room.

After the nominations have been closed, Caroline will contact nominees.
Depending on the number of nominees who accept the nomination and are able to commit to the process some units will need to vote on their representative.

The current contract is attached to this email.

Delegate elections will be held in person in the Menino Lobby on February 16th.

If you have questions or concerns please email Caroline at [email protected].

1199ers Visit Capitol Hill to Share Experiences and Priorities to Protect Quality Healthcare
1199ers from Massachusetts and across our union met with elected leaders and their staff in Washington D.C. last month to advance the issues that matter to us - protecting good healthcare jobs and quality care.

We care, we vote, and we hold our elected leaders to our priorities - for each other and those we care for!
"It was a great experience meeting with elected officials. They were all very receptive and interested. Most had no idea what HCA is [largest hospital chain, where SEIU members have major concerns] and promised to research the issue. I felt we were impactful." Nicole Barbel, Falmouth Hospital
"For other members, you have to come another time because together we are stronger and we can make our voices heard." Anny Guerrero Rodriguez, PCA
"The experience was great! I met so many fellow members in our union and how we take care of each other and support each other in everything we do!" Luz Echeverry, PCA
