Dear Members of St. Peter's,
I am pleased to share that the vestry has extended a call to the Rev. Dr. Jason Alexander to serve as the next rector of St. Peter’s, and that he has accepted.
One year ago, after conversation with the vestry, the bishop appointed Fr. Jason as priest-in-charge. This designation is temporary and often used to support a smooth clergy leadership transition, with the understanding that after a year of mutual discernment between the priest and the vestry, the priest-in-charge may be called as rector.
This has been an exciting year at St. Peter’s. We’ve prayed together, served together, and grown together, deepening relationships and laying a foundation for a strong future. Fr. Jason is committed to shepherding us through this next season in St. Peter’s life, and we are delighted to continue partnering in ministry with him.
I want to thank the vestry for its leadership during this period of change, Fr. Jason for his faithful care, and all of you for making St. Peter’s the powerful Christian witness it is. This is a joyful moment in our common life. We look forward to a rector induction and installation service in the coming months, and to all the ways God will continue to shape and inspire our ministry.
