THE COLLECT
A
lmighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which your Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day, when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

BROTHER, GIVE US A WORD
When the Kingdom comes in its fullness it will be mostly the triumph of small things. The widow's mite; the boy's five barley loaves and two fish that fed thousands. Even the smallest gestures of kindness, love, compassion, patience, generosity. These are the flags of dawn.
-Br. Mark Brown

EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN GIVE IN 2017
The Episcopal Church Women (ECW) of St. James' know the meaning of giving. They lead by example in their offering of time, talent, and treasure. You will find them to be the first to sign up for making soup or breakfast casseroles, sewing healing blankets, fold bulletins, or decorating the church for Easter and Christmas.
They have donated over $4700 this year to many charities and causes. We wanted to say THANK YOU and recognize their good works.

NURSERY HELP NEEDED
Hiring for the Nursery - contact Angel at 241-8136 or
click here to inquire about the position.
We also need volunteers (9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) to help in the Nursery along side the paid nursery staff. Multiple sign ups would be ideal and allow a rotation in the scheduling. This would mean volunteers would work in rotation only 1 time every 6-8 weeks. Only 1 volunteer is needed at a time in the Nursery with the staff. Please see the Volunteer Sign Up Sheet posted on the Nursery door. See Cherish Joostberns if you have any questions about giving of your time and talents in this wonderful area.
