Elsie Johnson Students Explore STEAM with MakerSpaces
|
|
This week, Elsie Johnson School students learned by doing as they took on MakerSpace stations with a STEAM theme in the school's Innovation Center!
MakerSpaces are areas throughout CCSD93 where students can choose from a variety of materials and media to create projects from start to finish after a prompt from their teacher. During the immersive projects, students use creativity and problem solving skills while becoming self-directed learners. Teachers assist personally where needed.

D93 Cheerleading Squads Compete
at Rolling Meadows Competition

| On Saturday, December 15, the cheerleading squads for Jay Stream and Stratford competed at the Rolling Meadows Cheer Competition! Jay Stream finished 3rd while Stratford finished 4th. The squads will have a few more chances to compete in January. |

Register Your Child for Preschool 1/17/19

CCSD93's Preschool Registration for new preschool students will be Thursday, January 17 at 6 p.m. at our Early Childhood Center (ECC), located at 280 Old Gary Ave., Bloomingdale, IL.
If you're looking for a preschool for your child for next school year, look no further than CCSD93's award-winning ECC.
The ECC provides a play-based environment that helps develop independent thought, problem solving, a sense of self worth, and successful group interactions in a safe and nurturing space designed just for preschool students!

Schools Closed 12/24/18 - 1/4/19 for Winter Break, District Office Open
|
|
There will be no classes from Monday, December 24 through Friday, January 4 as our schools are closed for winter break.
Our District Office will be open during our regular hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday, except for the following:
- December 24 - Closed
- December 25 - Closed
- January 1 - Closed
- January 3 - Open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Feel free to stop in or call when we're open if there's anything we can assist you with.
Please note, we will be performing updates to our telephone and Internet systems on December 26 and 27, so you may not be able to reach the District Office by phone on those days. You can always email [email protected] or fill out our web form at www.ccsd93.com/contact, and we'll be sure your message gets to the right person.
