Dear Friend of CCSD93,
Elsie Johnson Students Explore STEAM with MakerSpaces
This week, Elsie Johnson School students learned by doing as they took on MakerSpace stations with a STEAM theme in the school's Innovation Center!
MakerSpaces are areas throughout CCSD93 where students can choose from a variety of materials and media to create projects from start to finish after a prompt from their teacher. During the immersive projects, students use creativity and problem solving skills while becoming self-directed learners. Teachers assist personally where needed.
Elsie Johnson's stations met critical International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards. Find out more by clicking the image below for a brief video!
