District Update from Dr. Wagner

Dear Fairview Families: 

I hope this finds you well and warm and settling back into the school routine after the Thanksgiving break.  The weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter Break go very quickly, and are a very important time for everyone to stay focused and stay engaged.  Please do all you can to help your children remain actively involved in their classes and learning.  I know this is very difficult given all the demands of this pandemic.  Thank you for all you are doing as we all work together to help our students keep their learning on track.

Here are a couple of important reminders: 
While we are in FULL Remote Learning - if your child(ren) will not be able to log into their virtual classroom due to an appointment or not feeling well, please EMAIL Ms. Lockwood at jlockwood@fairview.k12.oh.us.  You may still call and leave a message on the attendance line, however sending an email is the preferred method of communication during Full Remote Learning. 
In addition - please remind your child(ren) that they must sign in to their classes each and every period so that attendance can be taken.  Failure to do so will result in being marked absent for that class period. Please encourage your child(ren) to have their cameras on during classes. Having their cameras on while in their virtual classrooms will not only help the teachers ensure they are there in attendance, and ready to learn, but will help students remain focused and understand the content more clearly. Thank you for your cooperation!
The next food delivery and pick-up THIS WEEK will be on Friday, December 4. Deliveries will arrive between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. Pick-up is at Fairview High School from 12-1 p.m.

As a reminder, someone must be at the residence to accept the food, it cannot be left at a doorstep. Also, please be sure your walkway is clear of snow and ice so our staff can safely deliver meals.

Beginning NEXT WEEK, meal delivery will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Deliveries will arrive between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. Pick-up is at Fairview High School from 12-1 p.m.

Anyone who has previously signed up to have meals delivered will continue to receive meals at the address previously provided.
If you wish to be added to or removed from the delivery list, please email Diana Hill.

If you prefer to pick up meals, this will regularly take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 - 1 p.m. at Fairview High School.

If you need assistance with finding resources for food, clothing, or other necessities, please email the district Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Coordinator, Ms. Sullivan at csullivan@fairview.k12.oh.us.

Currently, all students may participate in the school meal program at no charge and with no application through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
