Through My Lens

December 2019

We all look at life through our own lens

December is the month of giving gifts. The  gift of the baby Jesus, born in a manger, the gift of the oil that burned for eight days, and the gift of life are just a few of the gifts we enjoy.
Love, joy and peace are also gifts that we have been given. During this month, when emotions run high and all situations seem to be magnified, may we pause and think of what is the most important gift we could give to others.

One Gift

If I had just one gift to give
Just what would that gift be?
Would it be things of this old world
Or intangible things you can't see?

The greatest and the very best gift
That I could give to you,
Would be a faith in the Living Lord
Who would always be with you.

For things of this world will all disappear,
They wear out, rust out, and get old.
But things of Spirit grow richer each day
Precious things that can never be sold.

Love and peace, hope for each day,
This is what God does see.
A faith in Him will never wear out
But will last for eternity.
