Here is a poem I wrote a while back...

All in YOUniverse moves.
That which moves vibrates.
Vibrations may be counted.
Frequency is counted vibrations.
Frequency may be heard.
In other words, frequency is Music.

All is Music!

Music is tactile.
Tactile is touch.
All senses touch
and are touched by Music.

Hear the Music.
Smell the Music.
Taste the Music.
See the Music.
Touch the Music.

Feel the Music Touch you,
from the Outside...
and the Inside.

You are the Music!
- Mike Overly 2010

... and here is a new scientific study that seeks to prove this poem ~

The Legacy Trio consists of an Archtop guitar with a 17" single piece carved back from "The Tree."  This archtop, made by master luthier Tom Ribbecke, is the only guitar in the world that features a single-piece carved back. The headstock inlay was done by Larry Robinson who did the inlay work on Martin's 1 millionth guitar. And if that ain't enough, an 1806, 25¢ piece coin is embedded in the back of the headstock that belonged to Dr. Bejamin Rush, an original signer of the Declaration of Independence.
IN THE BASSment

The goal was to design a lightweight, compact bass that blends modern features and ergonomics with vintage feel and tone. The extended single cut/deep cutaway design (innovated by Fodera, now ubiquitous in the electric bass world) allows easy access to all 24 frets while allowing the bass to sit such that the first fret is much closer to the player, eliminating fatigue and strain.

Never one to miss a party, SRV, who was scheduled to play to the sold-out crowd at the Cotton Bowl Stadium later that night, showed up with his band to give a short set for the tens of thousands in attendance in downtown Dallas. Vibrato bridges-also commonly referred to as "tremolo" bridges due to errant usage of the term by Fender for many years-are a purely mechanical means of temporarily altering your guitar's pitch that can make an extremely creative addition to your playing style. To grasp the full range of the sound and function of this performance tool, listen to the playing of Duane Eddie, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Edward Van Halen.

ARTIST AWARENESS

Here is someone you probable haven't heard of, but you should - Joe Puma. He was a guitarist of imagination and skill that, despite emerging from New York under the shadow of Tal Farlow and Jimmy Raney, made some excellent recordings as a leader with some great and inventive jazzmen of the time. His approach is tasteful, gentle and unpretentious, and his finely-etched, sensitive guitar playing garnered the respect of his fellow musicians and the 1957 Metronome magazine New Star award. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZneBGulpQc
