For beginners and skeptics, though, the amount of material generated by this group is too much to handle.
Here, we look at the early years of San Franciscan Psychedelia and the subsequent post-Woodstock Americana period which yielded some of, if not their best, studio recordings and songs.

The Gibson 2019 models are here, and from the looks of it, this could be the update players have been waiting for. Representing a general back-to-basics approach, the lineup seeks to streamline and simplify much of the historic maker's catalog. This new lineup is, of course, the first since the news of Gibson's bankruptcy circulated earlier this year. Many hoped that the news would serve as a catalyst for more straightforward product offerings from Gibson, and the 2019 models seem to mark a first step in that direction.

IN THE BASSMENT
Created alongside world renowned bassist James Genus, the James Genus Signature Emperor is designed to offer players a go-to bass, able to cover a wide variety of styles and tones. It has also been specifically designed with comfort in mind giving players a broken-in and familiar feel right out of the case. Blending features from two of his past Foderas, this signature model is the culmination of many smaller details leading up to a simple yet feature packed bass.

Here's what one of our satisfied customers had to say: Who ever designed the 12-Tone logo, give them a two-thumbs up from me. It's a very elegant yet powerful design. Very balanced visually. Using two of the most common symbols from music speaks universally to possibly most of humankind. The logo lets people know, hey, I love music and hey, I play a musical instrument as well. Wearing the logo can certainly open doorways of conversation with strangers that share the same love of music and performance. - Nathan

"People always ask me 'What's the best string in the world?' and I say, 'The one that your guitar likes,'" says our friend Tommy Emmanuel. To Tommy, picking a guitar string isn't about finding which one you necessarily like best, or by going out and picking up a pack of your favorite musician's favorites. It's not even about finding a set of strings that necessarily sound the best, either, as much as it is finding strings that can hold a tune.

GREAT GEAR
Maxon was responsible for the original Tube Screamers. The BD10 is a sort of hot-rodded, bass-focused Tube Screamer. The original Tube Screamer's used the then-new operational amplifier (op amp), rather than the discrete transistor-based designs of the '60s. By placing back-to-back silicon diodes in the op amp's feedback loop, a symmetrical, smooth clipping was achieved. The BD10 employs the same op amps.
