We are ready! And very excited for hybrid to begin on Monday with Group A and on Tuesday, November 17 with Group B. Please note this is the Daily Survey for students which parents/students will need to complete one hour prior to their student getting on a bus and/or arriving on campus each day of on campus hybrid learning. Please note that students in ES, MS, and HS can also access this Daily Survey Link in the Single Sign On in the Biosecurity folder. Those continuing in distance learning do not need to complete it.
 
We would like to share with you this CNG COVID Flowchart for Students and Families which we hope will be helpful and provide good orientation should a member of your family test positive for COVID-19.

NJHS/NHS
CNG Thanksgiving 2020

Dear CNG Community:

Thanksgiving is still coming to CNG this year thanks to the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and the National Honor Society (NHS)! We encourage parents to watch this video by the NHS and this video by the NJHS to learn more. Instead of food baskets, our 196 CNG General Services and 53 FHNG workers will receive Sodexo cash cards. We invite parents to make a donation equivalent to COP$30,000 per child in the family, using this link.

Thank you to families that have already contributed! By Friday, November 6th, 15% of students had donated to the Thanksgiving campaign and we aspire that the remaining families will make their donations this week to reach our goal of COP37 million. We thank you for your support!

This is it! We are so excited to be receiving students tomorrow on campus! It has been a long journey for all of us and although the Hybrid Learning Model 1.0 is not perfect, it is definitely time to step back on campus. We have tried to think of all possible scenarios during Hybrid Learning 1.0, but there are surely things that we may have missed. Please help us by keeping the lines of communication open and letting us know how this model is working from your perspective.

MS Middle School

It was a great week- Administrators and counselors prioritized visiting advisories this week to check in on how our students are doing and there seems to be a bit of anxiousness about the upcoming changes which is understandable. Please continue to send any questions our way and assure you kids WE ARE READY to see our Middle School Students and Staff back on campus and in the virtual world for a new start beginning Monday in Hybrid Module 1. 

ES Elementary School

Dear ES Families,
Welcome to Hybrid Learning and another First Day of School! None of us could have predicted that we would be saying that in November of 2020. We are excited to begin this week in our Hybrid model with your children. We are looking forward to maintaining high teaching and learning standards both in-person and in Distance Learning. Thank you for Your Partnership and Support!

Dear Primary School Parents!   
We are all very happy about our Hybrid beginning on Monday. Being able to see our students “in human” seems like a dream come true. We have an exciting week ahead of us. We know there are still a lot of questions and information to process. As the days go by and we have a chance to live our hybrid, the anxiety will decrease and questions will begin to have answers.

Dear Parents,

Remember back in March when we were all wondering how we could make Distance Learning work? Remember how we all took on that challenge and how we supported each other through it? Now we are ready to take on the challenge of Hybrid Learning in the same way, TOGETHER. We know there will be a lot of questions at first but your unwavering commitment and support will help us all be successful. Each building level has shared some reminders and tools to support your children in a successful transition to Hybrid Learning, but please don't hesitate to reach out to the LC team if you need additional support or resources. We look forward to starting this new chapter next Monday.

Dear CNG Community, 

This week we will start focusing on a new topic; Respect. As we look forward to our 1st round of our hybrid model we want to have respect in our minds. Although we often think of respect as something we owe to others, we do want to bring your attention to how important it is to be respectful and kind to ourselves, especially during stressful times.

Remember our K4 to 12 school counseling team is here to support you and our students through this transition. We know that regardless of whether your son/daughter will be going to school or continue to do distance learning, this will be a big jump that will need for us to be patient and respectful to one another and ourselves.
Athletics & Condor Activities

Beginning hybrid learning has brought some extra energy back into our Condor Activities and Athletics programs. After meeting with students last week they are eager to enjoy the opportunity to be on campus. It will be great to see one another while being mindful of our safety. Although our Condor Activities and Athletics will stay virtual, hybrid learning is a hopeful progression towards the eventual return to being together again. Our Coaches and Instructors are working hard to maintain connection with the students and continue strong in this transition.

Primary and Elementary schedules for Condor Activities and Athletics will stay the same, while Middle School and High School take place in morning or afternoon sessions.

K4 Admissions Process - INVITATION TO APPLY
 
Once again our K4 Season has begun. If you have a child born between May 1st, 2016 and August 31st, 2017 and are interested in applying to CNG, please complete the application online along with all the requirements by November 20th. Full details on requirements and the dates of the admissions process can be found in the Admissions section of our website.
