Reasons to Start the Road to Accreditation
Our June blog described 5 GOOD REASONS why substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers need to be accredited! More recently, Jennifer partnered with All Kinds of Therapy (an online directory of treatment providers) to create two new blogs – Seven Advantages to Being a Nationally Accredited Treatment Facility and Why Parents Should Seek Accreditation in a Treatment Program. Jenney Wilder, Founder of All Kinds of Therapy (AKoT), has recently indicated that “the amount of times people click on the ‘accreditation’ filter on AKoT is increasing at a rate of +20% or more per year.” This suggests that accreditation is increasingly a factor for parents, adults and referral sources in selecting a treatment resource.
New Joint Commission Requirements
The Joint Commission has posted new accreditation requirements on Reducing Health Care Disparity (effective January 1, 2023). These standards make reducing disparity a quality and safety priority for accredited behavioral health care and human service organizations. AG consultants can assist your organization in complying with these new requirements!
EAGLE Expands to Puerto Rico
A team of EAGLE peer reviewers recently completed site visits to three agencies in Puerto Rico, all of whom achieved their initial accreditation status. Accreditation Guru and our consultant, Marcel Rivas, were able to provide bilingual consultation for these organizations so they were able to more easily understand and successfully navigate the EAGLE accreditation process. Great job everyone! You can learn more about these agencies by clicking here.
