Arcosa Announces 149-Job Marine Project In St. Tammany Parish:
 Gov. John Bel Edwards, Arcosa Marine President Thomas Faherty and St. Tammany Corporation announced Arcosa, located at the site of the former Trinity Marine in Madisonville, will make a $7.5 million capital investment and create 149 new direct jobs to reopen the idle barge manufacturing operations in Madisonville.
St. Tammany short-term rental operators fear ‘buzz saw’ regulations: Proponents of short-term rentals in St. Tammany told the Parish Council Thursday April 4th that their rentals bring tourists who attend the area's events. The council is working on an ordinance to regulate short terms.
Crisis Receiving Center — Anchor to the Safe Haven Campus— on Track to Begin Construction: “Moving forward with the Crisis Receiving Center is a major forward step in the progress of the Safe Haven initiative, but also a major forward step for behavioral health care in this region,” said Pat Brister, St. Tammany Parish President.
Port Marigny 2.0 — What Mandeville residents can expect to see emerge on the lakefront tract: Exactly what Port Marigny will look like remains a question mark. The owners will have to redraw their plans to mesh with the consent judgment, which is shaped largely by the terms of a rezoning ordinance that the City Council adopted for the land late last year. But a few points are clear:

Willie Paretti, civic leader, dies at 69: Known as "Willie," Paretti served on many boards and commissions in St. Tammany Parish, including our Chamber. She was a tireless volunteer, civic leader, philanthropist, and loyal to many.
Summer 2019 Part-Time Job Fair:
 As the Spring semester draws to a close, many students are in need of part-time and internship opportunities for the summer and upcoming fall semester. Due to the timing of these events, we typically refer to them as "summer part-time job fairs."
