I have always loved Zane’s Tavern, and the Aspen space next to Little Ollie’s is really tiny, so GO EARLY! IN THE SUMMER IT IS ALWAYS FUN TO SIT ON THE PATIO. Eddie Zane was smart enough to open much larger versions of the sports bar in Snowmass Village and built his own building in Willits. TWO GREAT AND MUCH NEEDED LOCATIONS.
Regarding the more upscale restaurants, I had a fabulous meal and a great bottle of wine at PARC-the one-year-old restaurant that took the L'hostaria space across from the Art Museum. The new interior is charming French country with extremely comfortable chairs, and you can actually talk to your dinner partners without yelling! Obviously, Cache Cache is still excellent with the original owner, and Casa d’Angelo in the former Pinions has an interesting Italian menu -- and you will recognize the original sommelier!!
