Working Together to Improve Lives in Cambodia

We are so glad to be again able to welcome visitors from abroad.

We have been cooperating with a Swiss NGO Child’s Dream Cambodia and we’re thrilled that their founder Daniel Siegfried flew in for a visit to see firsthand our English training curriculum at the Battambang Teachers Training College funded by a grant from them.

Under ever watchful eye of our Master trainer Sitha Sok, our English trainer, Choeurm Chork, has been diligently helping 300 future teachers learn how to inspire and teach their classes with new methodologies.

Congratulations Jenni!

What a fantastic achievement & milestone for CCDO.

Scott Friedman and his Together We Can Change the World team paid a visit to CCDO to see how their Dental Program was progressing. Thanks to Steve Tillis and a matching Rotarian grant, we are able to bring back the smiles of children when we fix toothaches and dental issues. We currently promote good oral health of 20,000 school children with an active Dental Hygiene Education and provide toothbrushes and toothpaste to them twice a year so they can brush their teeth at school daily. They were also impressed with our lending library program and enjoyed reading to the kids.

Thanks to Susan Tham and Lionel Chng of the HP Foundation in Singapore for providing a new Computer Classroom at Ta Brok Primary School. CCDO will build special desk for the 10 computers. HP Foundation are generously paying the salary of a qualified computer teacher. Students love computer class as they have no access to technology in their village homes.

I’m so happy for your achievement and for all those kids in Cambodia, that you and your team already changed their lives, I clearly remember the first pictures of then, that you showed me, what a difference to their conditions now & the school. WOW!!!

GREAT JOB AND DEDICATION.

Career Fair

Often, our grade 9 -12 students do not know the various career opportunities that they can pursue. CCDO in conjunction with NGOs PEPY and JWOC, helped inform the students of the different career paths at a well-attended career fair with 500 students from Puok & Odar Meanchey Provinces. They realized that if they study well, they can strive towards a better life and not continue in their parents’ path of backbreaking work of rice farming or construction.

Congratulations Jenni!!!

I am proud to know you. Your kind heart and determination have made dreams come true for so many. 1,500 wells & all the ancillary good works are very impressive.

Cheers for many more good deeds & positive outcomes.

Thanks to George West of Las Vegas, who generously gave $4,125 to build water wells, latrines and provide library books and annual school fees for our students.

A special thanks to Carol & Mark Duster, who continue to support their Mobile Library and books for our students with their donation of $1,000.

A wonderful wonderful achievement for you and all the volunteers and staff.

You made it possible leading the way, it must like a dream come true.
