About the Anulet P. Jackson Scholarship Fund

The Anulet P. Jackson Memorial Scholarship awards deserving students who demonstrate a commitment to honoring the legacy of Anulet “Pat” Jackson who spent over 30 years of her life devoted to building the cooperative movement as a staff of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund.

Touched by the work of her friend Pat Jackson and the Federation, Kay Doherty of Sharing, Inc. established this scholarship fund from the proceeds of Sharing, Inc’s annual Good Friday Walk. Each year, Sharing, Inc. shows its commitment and love to Pat, the Federation, and rural youth by contributing $5,000 annually to the scholarship fund.

Eligibility Requirements

 Applicants must meet the following requirements:

•   A relative of the student must be a current dues-paid member of one of the

Federation/LAF’s member-cooperative organizations or hold membership in the Federation/LAF

•   Have an ‘incoming freshman’ status 

•   Have an acceptance letter from a college/university for the 2023 Fall Semester

•   Must submit a completed application by Friday, August 4, 2023.

 Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Application Procedure

Submit the attached scholarship application form and all requested documentation, along with your letter of acceptance from the college/university that you will attend in the Fall of 2023. The deadline is August 4th, 2023.  

Notification of Awards

Recipients of the Scholarship will be notified by August 11^th, 2023. Scholarships will be awarded during the Federation/LAF’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 19^th, 2023. 

All scholarship recipients are required to attend the Award Ceremony (in-person or virtually).
