James Coffman

James Coffman attended Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida, where he earned his B.A. in Business Administration, then earned his Masters in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is also a graduate of the JFK School of Government as a Senior Executive Fellow at Harvard University.
Before he began his civilian career, he served in the U.S. Military (Army). He assumed the position as the Director of the Acquisition Integration and Management Center (AIM) in January 2022 and has served as the Deputy to the Executive Director since May 2017.
He has served many positions within the Headquarters of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (HQ ASC). These positions include Deputy to the Chief of Staff (CoS) G-4, ASC Chief of Staff, and Deputy to CoS G3/5/7. He has also held other key positions, such as Chief Operations Division HQ IMCOM, Explosives and Combat Range Manager, HQ US Army FORSCOM, and multiple global assignments as an Operational Safety Manager and Ammunition Surveillance Specialist.
His awards and decorations include the Army Sustainment Command EEO Champion of the Year Award (2015), six Superior Civilian Service Awards, and the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service.
