This week the Arizona Supreme Court saw fit to reinstate an 1864 total abortion ban.

In 1864, we were in the middle of the Civil War.

Arizona was not a state.

Women could not vote.

Slavery was legal.

The age of consent… was 10.

One man is responsible for setting 7 million Arizonans back 160 years: Donald Trump.

Here’s the good news. Thanks to massive grassroots efforts, it is highly likely there will be a measure on Arizona’s November ballot that would restore abortion rights, and break this ancient curse.

But can it pass? Well…

Since the Dobbs disaster, abortion rights have been on the ballot 12 times – and they have won all 12 times.

Arizona will be no different – except we won’t stop with abortion rights.

In Arizona, we can swing the national election for Biden & Harris – elect Ruben Gallego to defend the Democratic majority in the Senate – and help take back the House.

To be clear: we don’t just want to win it all. We have to.

Because only with a Democratic trifecta can we pass national abortion rights, as well as game-changing voting rights that will avert full-blown fascism and save this democracy.

What is the single best way to help this happen? Register new Democrats to vote in Arizona! Field Team 6 has been hard at work doing just that since 2019. But we need your help.

IT'S NOT JUST ARIZONA – FLORIDA'S IN PLAY TOO!

Last week, Florida's Supreme Court upheld the devastating six-week abortion ban that Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law last year.

But they also allowed an amendment that would enshrine abortion protections in the state constitution to appear on the November ballot. Approval of the amendment would create a "fundamental right" to receive abortion care up until fetal viability, or about the 24th week of pregnancy.

And here's the best news: since the fall of Roe, whenever abortion rights are on the ballot, Democrats win. That makes this the perfect time to mobilize Florida and flip it blue! How will we do it?

Here's the first step: emails! They're surprisingly cheap (about 14 cents to buy each record and just half a cent each to send!) and wildly effective! How effective? In 2022, Field Team 6 reached out to 5 million unregistered, likely Democrats. Among those who received email, 40% registered as blue or purple voters (Democrats or independents). You read that right!

We need to raise $21,289 (and we’re over half way there!) to buy 183,358 records for unregistered likely Democrats, and another $1,375 to email them twice. If even one in three of these Floridians register to vote, we could add over 61,000 new blue or purple voters to the rolls by November!

Native Americans who want to vote face incredible obstacles, from voter suppression laws and lack of dropboxes to basics like not having electricity or broadband.

So we're holding a joint fundraiser with FT6 partner extraordinaire Blue CD2 New Mexico. The goal? To fund stipends for Native American artists, so they can create a series of Native American postcards (and art for social media, etc.) which we’ll use in direct outreach to this constituency.
