161st Street Business Improvement District
Appoints Trey Jenkins As Executive Director
Bronx, New York, March 1, 2022 – Trey Jenkins has joined the 161st Street Business Improvement District (BID) as their new Executive Director. Trey replaces the highly respected Dr. Cary Goodman who was with the 161st Street BID since its creation in 2009.
Trey comes into the role of Executive Director having spent over three years with the Jamaica Center BID in Jamaica, Queens as their Director of Marketing and Business Services. Trey has extensive experience in city government and the non-profit world having spent time at the NYC Small Business Services agency and the Alliance for Coney Island. Trey also was a member of the Coro Neighborhood Leadership Program in 2016. Prior to his roles in city government and non-profit, Trey spent time with the Macy’s Parade and Entertainment Group, NBC Sports and Disney Sports where he learned about marketing and managing events.
“We could not be more thrilled to have Trey on board to usher in a new era for the 161st Street business corridor. His experience working with small businesses, his marketing and event knowledge and his love of sports will help continue the success that our BID has had with the community,” said Board Chair Michael Rendino.
“Over the coming weeks and months, I look forward to getting acquainted with the community and the businesses that make up our district,” said Executive Director Trey Jenkins. “I want to reach out to all key stakeholders to introduce myself and learn how we can work together and partner whenever possible. I can’t wait to do some great things with the 161st Street community.”
