An Inside Job: The Senior Class Gift Campaign’s Exemplary Leadership

Now in its eleventh year, the Senior Class Gift Campaign (SCGC) is a grass-roots effort to educate seniors about the importance of giving back to Bowdoin, to engage them in contributing to the Alumni Fund, and to show them the opportunities alumni have to stay connected with the College long after graduation. Bowdoin Announces Creation of the Black Alumni Association

The purpose of the new Bowdoin College Black Alumni Association is to support and advance the mutually beneficial goals and objectives of Black alumni of the College.

Colby Men’s Hockey Game Friday

On the heels of a 5-1-3 stretch, the men’s ice hockey team is preparing for its annual home game with Colby. Fans can watch the action with an enhanced broadcast of the game this Friday, January 28, at 7:00 p.m., live from Watson Arena on the Northeast Sports Network. Jake Adicoff ’18 Wins Golf at Para World Championships, Prepares for Beijing Paralympics

World-class Nordic skier Jake Adicoff ’18 recently claimed three medals, including a gold in the 10k classic, at the Para World Championships in Lillehammer, Norway. Adicoff, who is legally blind, appeared at both the 2014 Sochi Paralympics and 2018 Pyeonchang Paralympics, where he claimed a silver medal. As the Beijing Paralympic games approach, Adicoff has teamed with guide Sam Wood for the 2021-2022 season, and discussed the dynamic of the athlete-guide partnership on the Nordic Nation podcast. From Classroom to Local Community: Students Forge Environmental Connection through the Lens

The students in Professor Shu-chin Tsui's fall eco-cinema class studied how filmmakers in China are documenting and telling stories of environmental calamity.They also made their own short films, focusing their cameras on Maine. The Collective Creativity of the Black Lady Art Group

Three students—Amie Sillah ’20, Amani Hite ’20, and Destiny Ariana Kearney ’21—formed the Black Lady Art Group in 2020 to pursue art in community with one another. They recently reflected on the experience and how it shaped their creative trajectories and their time at Bowdoin.
