Bowdoin Announces Renovations to Pickard Field Athletic Complex
This summer, the College will transform the Pickard Field athletic complex by making long-needed improvements to the facilities, including upgrades to athletic fields, practice facilities, and spectator accommodations. "This project will revolutionize the Bowdoin student experience and position several of our programs for success well into the future," said Ashmead White Director of Athletics Tim Ryan. "We can't wait to get started."

Championship season has arrived for the Polar Bear winter sports teams, as several squads enter the final stage of their 2022–2023 campaigns just as spring teams open their calendars for the new year this weekend.
Men’s Squash Wins Conroy Cup
The Bowdoin men's squash team ended their season with a flourish, going 3-0 last weekend at the College Squash Nationals to claim the Conroy Cup Division crown and finish twenty-fifth in the nation.
Men’s Hockey Returns to NESCAC Semifinals
Chris Brown ’23 scored the overtime game-winner to give the seventh-seeded Bowdoin men's ice hockey team an upset victory over second-seeded Trinity, 2-1, on February 25, marking the program's first NESCAC postseason win since 2014. Track Teams Claim Two Individual Crowns at New England Indoor Championship
The Bowdoin College indoor track and field teams enjoyed a fantastic weekend at the New England Division III Championships in Boston on Feb. 24 and 25. The Polar Bear men placed fifth overall while the women took sixth, with Charlotte Hodge ’25 (pole vault) and the women’s 4x400 relay team of Katherine Page ’23, Gabby Phillips ’24, Cianna O'Flaherty ’23, and Kianne Benjamin ’24 earning New England titles. This comes on the heels of the women’s team winning their first outright state championship since 2013 earlier last month.
Swimming and Diving Earns NCAA Qualifiers
On the heels of successful performances at the NESCAC Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship and the NESCAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship earlier in February, fourteen Polar Bears (nine women, five men) have earned qualification for the NCAA Championships to be held March 15–18 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC.
Spring Sports Get Underway Saturday, March 4
