Educating Children with Fragile X Syndrome It's Not Just About School! Dr. Gail Spiridigliozzi is a clinical child psychologist at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She has served as the psychologist for the Duke Fragile X Clinic for more than 20 years and presented at the majority of the International Fragile X Conferences. This workshop will include a discussion about the educational strengths and needs of children with FXS, considerations when assessing their skills and translating them into an Individualized Education Program (IEP), ways to promote learning in and outside of the classroom, and lessons learned from following individuals with FXS throughout the years. |
