This 1941 Indian Sport Scout (45 inch; 750 cc) Flat Track Racer is from
the Hobo John Estate.
This was Hobo's prized possession!
This Flat Tracker was acquired from John Roccio in 2007. John Roccio was a famous rider and original member of the
Booze Fighters M.C.
and
13 Rebels M. C.
This motorcycle is rumored to have come from his brother Ernie Roccio, a #1 plaque holder who died in 1952 in a speedway incident. Both of the Roccio brothers were incredible riders and mechanics. This bike was taken to Lee Standley, in Ventura CA, for a rebuild sometime in the late 90's. Pop Standley, one the best Indian engine builders and tuners, built this engine and set it up with Bonneville components and specifications. The engine has yet to be run in correctly only having been used on one parade lap at the Ventura speedway. This Scout Bobber was one of Hobo John's most expensive purchases and as such his greatest possession.
Information about this motorcycle provided by Bob Nichols and Tom Lovejoy and from Hobo's file on this motorcycle.
