The 1947 Chris Craft 46' featured on page 3 of the Summer 2016 newsletter is still in need of a new home.  According to owner Jeff, "Your magazine has developed a ton of interest in the boat, but for various reasons, the boat is still available."

Technically, this email qualifies as an advertisement -- crazy, I know.  You are receiving it because you are a Bone Yard Boats subscriber.  You can opt out of receiving these email alerts and see details of your subscription near the bottom.

Jeff says, "So a lot of the internal stuff has been done, but quite simply I can't afford the time to keep working on her as I have a one-year old son that is occupying my time now.  Much has been done, including new wiring throughout, rebuilt Hercules WB engine, new plumbing with a Raritan toilet and holding tank.  Also new Blue Sea electrical panel with galvanic isolators.  New front wind-shield and new side walls.  The hull is original, but was refastened in 2000.  My guess is that this will need to be redone over the next few years.  Floats fine, but bilge pump kicks on every 10 minutes or so for a minute.  Currently out of the water.  Any reasonable offer would be accepted as I no longer have the time to work on her and do not want to keep paying storage fees."  Rockland County, NY.

Back in mid-May, shortly after listing the MARY JEMISON in the Spring 2016 issue, Captain LJ asked me to amend the asking price from 'all offers considered' to: "At this point, I want to save the boat and we are willing to list it as 'free' if someone will take over the storage costs (all costs are current, I mean the ongoing storage)."  Pittsford, NY.

As of Oct 1st, Capt LJ confirms, "She is still in need of a home! She is a big project, so finding the right enthusiast has not been easy."

"...a rare and beautiful boat.  Built in 1931 by renowned builder Linwood Price, originally the VIRGINIA ESTELLE, and operated as a Chesapeake Bay buyboat.  She later operated out of Delaware, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, Long Island, Syracuse, and Rochester, NY, as an excursion boat..."

You can find a link to her listing in the Spring 2016 issue (page 8) by clicking on "PAST ISSUES" then "Spring 2016" then scroll down to page 8 or click here <SPRING 2016>.

POWER BOAT UPDATES:  The 1947 Steelcraft 26' Sedan has been scooped up by a Bone Yard Boats subscriber and is being transported from MN to Georgia.  The 1959 Chris Craft Sea Skiff 30' on the cover of the Summer issue has also found a new home.
