The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance Foundation offer to the discriminating buyer this fine, well maybe not so fine, 1982 Austin FRX4D (diesel) Hackney Carriage, otherwise known as a London Taxi. The auction takes place on the Cars & Bids website starting Friday, October 23, 2020.

Lord Russell (respectfully known to his friends as “Rusty”) was a gift to the Foundation by Jaime and Aida del Valle to assist us in raising funds and awareness of Spina Bifida, the most common permanently disabling birth defect in the United States. An average of 8 babies everyday are born with Spina Bifida or a similar birth defect of the brain and spine.
“Rusty” starts and runs well, but sounds like a #10 tin can full of nails being vigorously shaken. Performance is underwhelming with 0-60 being Tuesday.  “Rusty” is the first cousin of the Duke of Bondo and truly needs a stripping and fresh paint. We can’t sugar coat it, “Rusty” needs cosmetic help.

This would be a wonderful transport through The Villages…..easy egress and exit, plenty of leg room, and air conditioning that blows uncharacteristically cold.

The Amelia is excited to announce that 100% of Lord Rusty's selling price will go to Spina Bifida of Jacksonville to care for children and adults impacted by this birth defect. To sweeten the deal, the buyer will receive four free tickets to the 2021 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance.

Porsche Driving Experience 
7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Departs from the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport

The Porsche Driving Experience departs from the Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport immediately following the 7:00 a.m. check-in and 7:30 a.m. drivers meeting with coffee and donuts. Participants will travel in their personal vehicles to a yet to be determined location where they will enjoy activities to include an autocross in one of the latest Porsches and a spirited ride with a professional driver. The tour will also make a stop at the fabulous new Brumos Collection which began as an eclectic private automotive collection that was stored on-site at the Brumos car dealerships in Jacksonville, Florida. Many international and national award-winning cars, historical documents, and racing artifacts are housed in their new location.
