This is an original one owner car, purchased new in Santa Clara, California in 1987. Ever since, it has always been garaged, never driven in snow or salt, so it is virtually rust free and well maintained. Options include Venetian Blue Metallic paint, special Champagne leather interior, 16 in. forged Fuchs alloy wheels, central locking system, and automatic speed control. The air conditioning system works & blows cold (55 F). Everything works as it should, even the clock!
Additions include a protective “bra” on the front of the hood, a modern Alpine radio head unit with cassette tape, an under hood amplifier and CD changer.
The Targa top can be easily removed and stored in the front trunk by one person, enabling the enjoyment of open air motoring. The car will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 152 mph. Its 3.2 L flat six is regarded as durable reliable, as is the improved G50 transmission. Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 mounted on the original 16 in. Fuchs wheels.
Recent (5/27/26, 143,988 mi.) service included the left inner & outer CV boot replacement, A/C system recharge & inspection, and the synthetic oil & filter were changed 4/21/26. In August, 2024, the brake fluid was flushed, the valves adjusted, spark plugs, drive belt, air filter and wiper blades were replaced, all at 142,297 mi. Rear brake rotors, pads & sensors were replaced 7/23. This car has been regularly maintained and serviced over its years, with minimum yearly oil & filter changes, and parts replaced as needed.
Disclosure: There was one minor incident in 2015, where a driver in the left turn lane changed her mind and veered into this car in the adjacent lane (at low speed), damaging the LF fender, which was properly repaired and repainted. At the same time, the rear deck lid was repainted, only due to a removed sticker leaving a mark.
Included are the original window sticker and tire compressor kit, a car cover, two keys/fobs, and all records and receipts from new. Its clean Carfax report with no accidents or damage reported is available on request.
As is said, a car is only original once – and this one owner Carrera 3.2 Targa is an excellent example.
