Good afternoon,
Does size of payroll really matter in baseball? Of the current six division leaders, four are 22nd or lower in total payroll. The division leaders are Dodgers, Braves, Brewers, Cleveland, A's and Rays. If the A's make the playoffs, where are they going to play their home games?
Misiorowski throws 57 pitches higher than 100 mph in seven innings in his last outing. He introduces a slider in this game. What is his long term future? Can his arm and body withstand the stress of throwing so hard?
Paul Skenes pitched at LSU. Misiorowski committed to LSU until he was drafted by the Brewers. LSU's rotation could have been Friday game Skenes and Saturday game Misiorowski. Or vice-versa. Not good for the batters.
