or Reconciliation in August.

Dear Friends,

Remember! At the conclusion of the Recessional Hymn, at the end of Mass, we will pray ONE HAIL MARY, asking for Mary's intercession for an increase of Vocations to the Religious Life and to the Priesthood. Additionally, we will then pray the St. Michael the Archangel prayer asking for protection from God. If you would like to know more about the St. Michael prayer CLICK HERE.

If you missed the EARLY (Renaissance) VOCAL MUSIC RECITAL with our Music Director, Reuben Roberts you can view the live stream on BOXCAST HERE.

This Friday, 7 August, is a First Friday. Confessions will be from 10AM until 11:30AM followed by Mass at 12 Noon. Please see the NEW GUIDELINES for going to Confession HERE

Saturday, 15 August is the Feast of the Assumption. It is NOT a Holy Day of Obligation this year. We will have a 12 NOON Mass.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion:
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen

INFORMATION ON ATTENDING MASS AT OLL

Our Sunday Masses continue. If you have any questions please read our policies HERE before attending Mass. As a reminder: there is currently no Sunday Mass obligation and the week day Masses are a valid option to receive the Eucharist, especially for those who are not working and are free to come to a Daily Mass. The daily Masses also have far fewer people attending and safe distancing is easier for those at risk.

Our policy regarding face masks: It strongly recommended that all parishioners use face masks for your protection and for the protection of others when safe distancing cannot be observed. That said, masks are not mandatory at OLL for the simple reason of enforcement. It is not fair to require volunteer greeters and ushers to enforce a mandatory use policy. Volunteers need not be in the position of having to "police" others or to turn some one away because they are not wearing a mask. Masks are strongly suggested if safe distancing cannot be observed while at Mass.

This must be said: we can not guarantee you will not contract the Covid-19 virus by attending Public Mass. We do believe our precautions are sufficient to minimize the risk. If you have any doubts, please, stay at home and join us on Sundays for the live streamed 9AM Mass.

Please take a moment to thank our volunteer Greeters, Ushers and Cleaners when you see them! Without their support we could not hold public Masses. Please continue to BE PATIENT with one another during this time. THANK YOU for following all instructions given by ushers and greeters.

For now, we are staying with only 2 Sunday Masses because of a lack of volunteers needed to cover ALL three Masses, the 5pm Vigil, 8am and 10:30am Sunday Masses.
Here is a list of things you can do to stay in touch with, and continue to support us at Our Lady of the Lake:

  • Sign up for Constant Contact: HEREThis will keep you in touch with the parish (Fr. Dennis' emails, Weekend Reminder emails, among many others!)

  • Call the parish office between 9am and 1pm Monday through Friday to update your contact information in our parish database!

  • Visit the church between the hours of 7am and 7pm to pray before the Blessed Sacrament in the tabernacle! (Praying before the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle or in a Monstrance is the same. Both are equally blessed opportunities to spend an hour with the Lord!!)

  • Pray the Prayer of Spiritual Communion!
