Fall Kick Off: Service Time Change, Outreach, & Small Group Ministries
|
|
Time Change - Beginning
Sunday, September 11, 2016 we will move our worship service time to 10AM as part of a worship learning experiment to be re-evaluated this December.
Hungry For More - Beginning
September 14, we will be launching a new ministry: happening every Wednesday evening
(6:30-8 p.m.). So many people in our community are "hungry for more" of what life can offer. Join us for a potluck meal, incredible community, and great stories! All are welcome to attend. Contact Pastor Zach for more info.
Digging Deeper - Weekly morning Bible study returns Friday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Join us as we dig deeply into God's Word!

Saying Goodbye to our Intern!
|
|
Youtee Wheagar, a sophomore at Mount Holyoke College, served as our summer Children's Ministry Intern as part of a Greater New Jersey United Methodist College Ministry funded-grant proposed by Pastor Zach.
Youtee directed, "Hands Out, God In" a Kids Art Camp. Over 23 kids in pre-k through 8th grade experienced God's love through art, music, writing, culinary arts, theatre, Bible, and recreation.
Youtee, you will be missed!

Slate Painting a Huge Success!
|
|
The Stewardship Committee launched a new fundraiser: Slate Painting. 15 participants enjoyed creating their own autumn-themed masterpiece. This was done in conjunction with our Peach Festival, lead by Joyce Wright & Joyce Scott. Over 50 people attended!
Special thanks to Debbie Stevenson for her leadership and Michelle Hewitt for her artistic and teaching skills!

Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire
is the type of book that will drive you to your knees in prayer. It remains a favorite book of his to this day. Whether you pick up Pastor Donald's heavily marked-up copy with all his underlines, stars, and highlights, or the unmarked copy of the book, he encourages anyone to read it and welcomes any future dialogue about the book, should anyone want to talk more after reading through it. We hope it impacts you as much as it has impacted Pastor Donald!
