We're able to offer this stunner at the lowest price in the country, providing you an affordable luxury to enjoy now or cellar for another 10+ years!
At just over 37 acres, Domaine Michel Gay is relatively small, but it incorporates vineyard plots in communes with storied names and spreads across a kaleidoscope of terroirs, including Chorey‐lès‐Beaune, Aloxe‐Corton, Savigny‐lès‐Beaune Premier Crus Serpentières and Vergelesses, three premier crus in Beaune, Toussaints, Aux Coucherias, and Les Grèves, as well as a small parcel on the Corton hill in the Renardes vineyard. Vines are between forty and sixty years old, and receive the same individualized attention as the grapes do at harvest.
The winery itself dates back only to 1992, when Michel and his brother split up their century-old family estate and decided to go it alone. Fifth-generation winemaker Sébastien Gay took over Domaine Michel Gay after his father’s 2001 retirement and today his son Laurent works alongside him. Their production is extremely small as they will only bottle the wines deemed up to the family’s standards and anything that doesn't make the cut is gets sold off to négociants.
We locked down the importer's last 5 cases (60 bottles) and WILL hoard every unsold bottle to ourselves!
Sante,
