The ferocious seller's market experienced in the Bay Area over the past two years is beginning to show signs of chinks in its armor (see #6 below). Adding to that are slight increases in inventory providing more options for buyers who had previously been sidelined by aggressive bidding contests.


These slight market adjustments will neither diminish home values nor make property here more affordable; instead they will combine to effectively decelerate the rapid appreciation from which we have benefited.


One fact holds true: Property values in Marin County have continued to appreciate year-over-year confirming real estate investment here a solid strategy.
