“May you seek Christ. May you find Christ. May you love Christ” Saint Josemaria Escriva

Dear Parents,

Lent will be here soon! This Lent, parents are invited to join our school community by growing in faith. You are invited to participate in a program from Ascension called The Ascension Lenten Companion: Walking with Jesus to Jerusalem.

There are 3 ways to get involved:

  1. Watch a short reflection video each week. The reflection video will be shared weekly through the e-newsletter.
  2. Purchase the Lenten Companion book and participate in the daily prayer and reflection activities at home.
  3. Join a faith sharing group which meets weekly to discuss your Lenten journey.

As parents, our lives are busy. This Lenten opportunity is designed to meet you and your family where you are. Whether you choose one option or all three options, this is a chance to grow in holiness this season. God wants you to grow in relationship with Him this Lent, and He is inviting you to take advantage of this transformative experience.

If you would like to pre-order your book or join a small group, please click on the sign-up link to select your choices by February 2.

God Bless,

Erin Vu

  1. Support our Fund-a-Need appeal next week when you receive the information in your email. This year’s Fund-a-Need is for Transportation. We're raising funds for at least one, 12 passenger van to enhance student transportation opportunities for activities like field trips, retreats and sports events. Having our own vans will reduce the costs of renting buses and eliminate the challenges of coordinating parent volunteers. Additionally, we recognize the need for a golf cart on campus to improve security, assist with student transport, and support various departments such as music, and admissions. More information on this to follow next week.

RaiseRight

The Raise Right gift card program

is an additional way to support the school and share with your family and

friends should they wish to support the school without costing anything. That's right, you earn money for Holy Family by shopping for your everyday household items.

Watch this video to see how impactful the Raise Right program can be for Holy Family. A family can raise up to $1,000-$1,600 per year by using gift cards purchased through RaiseRight at face value to do their ordinary shopping!

Cuts For Cancer

The Savio Cheerleaders will be hosting the 11th annual Cuts for Cancer on March 18th at 2:00pm at St. Dominic Savio Catholic High School! Participants can have a minimum of 8 inches of their hair cut and it will be sent to an organization that makes wigs for cancer patients. This event also collects monetary donations, which will be sent to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

If you or your child would like to donate your unprocessed hair, you can do it one of two ways:

  • you can have your hair cut and place in a donation box that we would drop off at your school
  • they can attend our assembly on March 18 at 2pm and have their hair cut at the event.

If you think your student would be interested in this, please let me know. We are also asking for sponsorship and donations for this event and your families have the opportunity to show their support by purchasing a Cuts for Cancer shirt.
