Head's Note
As our students know, our Core Virtues for February are diligence and perseverance. So as we move through the coldest and darkest time of the year, lessons around these virtues are particularly well timed. John Quincy Adams, who also grew up in our cold New England climate, once said, "Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.” While it may not always be possible to make all of our difficulties disappear, having perseverance does make life’s obstacles seem more manageable, particularly as we are all anticipating warming days in the months ahead.
Yours truly, Brad

Our community celebrated the arts at Crossroads before departing for winter break. Thanks to the Parent Association, families came to see musical and acting performances, and view student artwork from all grade levels. The arts are alive and well at Crossroads!

Fifth Grade Persuasive Speeches
|
Each year, the fifth grade class researches local non-profit organizations to use as the basis for composing persuasive speeches. Third, fourth, and sixth graders were invited to listen to each student’s speech and then cast a vote on the speech that was the most effective. This year, donations were also collected and will be awarded to the non-profit organization that received the most votes.

Greetings from the Crossroads Summer Program!
I am excited to announce that Crossroads Academy will be offering another engaging and fun-filled ten-week summer program. Beginning the week of June 15, there will be a series of one-week programs being offered for children ages 3-5, 6-9, and 9-13. Crossroads faculty and other experienced educators will offer a wide range of programs to discover new interests and deepen student learning. We will once again partner with The Montshire Museum of Science, AVA Gallery and Art Center, and the Upper Valley Music Center to host their programs on our campus. While there are already many offerings listed on our website, new listings will be added regularly over the next few months. Daily programs run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, but early drop off is available beginning at 8:00 am and a free after-care program is offered every day until 5:00 pm.
Please share this information with your friends. Summer Programs are a great way for new families to experience Crossroads!
I look forward to sharing the summer with you. Think summer!
