Second Sunday of Lent
The Best Wine
John 2:1-11
On the second Sunday of Lent, we travel from the wilderness to a wedding. In John's Gospel, Jesus begins his ministry not in the desert but at a feast. And when the wine runs out, he provides more than anyone expected, better than anyone imagined. In anxious times, it is easy to forget how good God is. This Sunday we remember. Come to the table for Communion. Stay after worship for lunch and the Annual Meeting of the Congregation.
We invite you to read our Lenten Devotional "Tell Me Something Good," available online.

As the Olympics are taking place in Italy, Louisa would like to suggest an Italian wine. However, we have just had Presidents’ Day, and in honor of that, you might wish to select a wine with a blue, red, purple, or green label. As usual, couples bring an hors d’oeuvres to pass and a bottle of wine. Singles bring either. Nonalcoholic beverages will be available. | | | | |
