This Friday, our community will gather to celebrate
Family Arts Night.
Over the last several years, our school’s arts program has formed stronger connections to our Core Knowledge and Core Virtues programs and in the process, the arts have become a more vital part of our curriculum. This year, we are very excited to have a wonderful lineup of student performances to accompany an exhibition of the students’ beautiful artwork. We also have a wide range of auction items to support the important work of the Parents Association. And this year, we will be offering a virtual tour of the new Middle School Building. All in all, this event promises to be a great community gathering, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Yours truly, Brad

*
Financial Aid recipients will receive contracts on March 25, and should enroll by the deadline of April 10.

During the winter, seventh graders read
Great Expectations
. Inspired by the work of the Reduced Shakespeare Company, students composed "Reduced Expectations" performances using prose, poetry, video, digital art, needle & thread, graphic novel, puppet theater, drama, and song. Mr. Glazer performed three chapters in the style of Bob Dylan!

February Birthday
Book Club!
|
Does your son or daughter have a birthday in February? Consider celebrating by participating in the Birthday Book Club! By purchasing a book from the library’s wishlist, your child may decorate a bookplate, celebrate during library time, and take a photo with their book for our birthday book wall. Then, they can donate the book to the library’s permanent collection.
Families with student birthdays in February have been contacted individually via email with more details on how to participate.

Education that Makes the World a Better Place
|
In her article in Education Week, Professor Crystal Belle from Rutgers University wrote, “If we truly want to change the world we live in, education is the best place to start.” Many of us who work in schools couldn’t agree more.
