How Can We Secure the Election? Results Protection Training

Wed. Oct. 7

Join the WBUUC Results Protection team next Wednesday, October 7th, at 6:30pm. Our goal is to develop a plan of action in case election results are not certified. We'll consider scenarios that could arise if the election or certification is interfered with, and you'll be invited to take part in specific actions as plans develop. While we expect a safe and secure election in Minnesota, we must act to keep it free and fair.

Community Kudos!

What a Morning! A tremendous thank you to the 70th Anniversary Committee: Karen Dahl, Gina Dugan, Bob Gagner, Greg Giles, Carol Henseler, Jeannie Inglehart, Jennifer Letellier, Ilse Perlich, Victor Urbanowicz, Stephanie Ward and Susan Warweg, the WBUUC Choir, the Men’s Group, all of you who shared stories, hopes/dreams for the time capsule, and for attending to make our 70th Anniversary Sunday a celebratory success!

WBUUC Gets it Done! Last week, 16 volunteers from WBUUC worked a total of 266 hours of construction on a home in Maplewwood. In addition, Ro Tripi and Janelle Fischler provided two days of lunches for 17 volunteers. Thank you to all of you involved in this impactful project.  WBUUC will also donate $5,000 to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. Thank you to all who donated to the Habitat for Humanity special collections this year.

New in Our Parking Lot...

We are excited to share that we’ve added new specialty parking spaces near the entrance to welcome visitors to WBUUC and support families with small children. In the spirit of hospitality, please leave these spots open so our guests and parents with little ones can navigate their arrival easily. Thank you for helping us create a warm, accessible environment for everyone!

Middle School Youth will meet with staff and youth advisors in the Iowa Sisterhood room from 6:30-7:30pm, on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, for an opportunity to deepen their connections to each other and Unitarian Universalism.

9th-12th graders (or homeschool/unschool equivalent youth) will be meeting in the Iowa Sisterhood room on Sundays from 12:30-2pm, starting on October 4th. Lunch is provided. During October, we will get to know each other, look at the year ahead, and make some decisions about meeting days/times and activities.

Pastoral Care Requests, Meeting with Ministers and Building Hours

If you have a pastoral care update or a request for tangible support, please email Rev. Jack directly (revjack@wbuuc.org) or fill out this form: https://bit.ly/wbuucpc

We would be honored to name your joy or sorrow or life event during our Sunday morning meditation so that our community can know about your concern and hold it with you. As the Swedish proverb goes, “Shared joy is double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.”

Meeting with Ministers

Rev. Jessica and Rev. Jack invite you to contact them directly with questions or to make an appointment for an in-person or Zoom meeting. We concentrate most of our appointments Tuesday - Thursday, but we can also make other times available as needed.

Building Hours
