20 Compelling Reasons to go Plant-Based

In September of 2016, I made a few presentations at the 10-day, Real Truth about Health Conference in Orlando--that was streamed "live" to over 80 nations.
Since I assumed that the international audience consisted mostly of people not already eating a whole food, plant-base diet, I decided to update a presentation that I had used for a "mainstream," undergraduate psychology class at Holy Cross earlier that year.

Establishing "common  ground" at Holy Cross--by asking them five yes/no questions. I told them to "Just raise your hand if your answer to a question is NO."

So, if no hands were raised for any of the questions, I would conclude that we were all in total accord. Here are those five questions:

1. Do you care about your health, your weight, the way you look and feel?
2. Do you like a good deal? Saving money on what you buy?
3. Do you care about the environment, biodiversity and sustainability?
4. Do you believe that climate change is primarily driven by human activity?
5. Do you care about the future of our civilization and the human species?

At Holy Cross, not a single hand was raised. So I then told them that since we were 100% in agreement, I knew that they would appreciate my talk in which I covered 20 Compelling Reasons for Eating Plant-Based.

17-Minute Video below. I covered those same 20 questions in the last half of this video clip from that Florida conference. It was posted on YouTube less than a week ago. The image below is one of Stephen Emmott, whose 2013 book, TEN BILLION was featured in the presentation.

Don't have time to the watch video? Here is a one-page copy of those Compelling Reasons for your fridge.

One more thing.  For any readers near Long Island, New York, there is a Real Truth About Health Conference happening right now--and through this coming weekend. And it is FREE.

FYI, I will be in the audience on Thursday to witness two lectures by Dr. Peter Wadhams, the world's leading scientific authority on the Arctic Ocean.

My most recent public presentation was at the SW Florida VegFest on January 28, 2018 (Click below for slides)

Food. Health. Planet. Our Future as a Species.

Looking for Opportunities to Speak in 2018. Since 2016, my research, writing and speaking has been focused on the sustainability of our ecosystem, our civilization and our future as a species. With an emphasis on food choices, I call it the "most important topic in the history of humanity."

After all, what could possibly be more important to humans than the survival of our species?

Upcoming Talks: 1-28-18 at Fort Myers, FL ( VegFest). In April at the in Honolulu and Maui. In May at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. To view all 59 slides in my latest presentation,  click here
