Welcome Luncheon - Judge Bernice Donald
   At Wednesday's Welcome Luncheon, attendees will hear from Federal Judge Bernice Donald. She currently sits on the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and is a Memphis Area Legal Services staff attorney alum. To read the White House's announcement of her federal nomination click here.

EJU12 Speaker.Bill Purcell On Wednesday night, former Mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, Bill Purcell, will give our Awards Dinner address. Mr. Purcell was Governing Magazine's "Public Official of the Year" for 2006 and has experience in law, public service, and higher education. To learn more about him, click here

Nominations for the Access to Justice Awards are due by September 7, 2012. To learn more about the awards and
2011 Award Winners
nomination process, visit the awards page. Our Riney Green Award recognizes someone who promotes state-wide collaboration. Our New Advocate of the Year is for attorneys and paralegals who work with a provider (LSC or non-LSC funded) of civil legal aid to low-income people, who have been employed by their programs less than five years.
