Dentrix CDT 2013 Codes
Greetings!

Dentrix has recently released the 2013 CDT procedure codes update.

The major revisions include:
  • 35 new codes, with many relating to CT imaging and implant related procedures.
  • 37 description changes for basic xrays and other procedures.
  • The elimination of two codes used for fluoride treatments, being replaced by a single code for both adults and children.

Below the body of this message you can view a summary of this years code changes.

These updates can be automatically added if you have Dentrix G4 Productivity Pack 8 or G5, but if you have a lower version you must manually enter them.

You can access your current CDT codes by going to the Office Manager in Dentrix and clicking on Maintenance -> Practice Setup -> Procedure Code Setup.

Take a look at the codes to see what what changes have actually been made. You may find only a few that apply to you and they can easily be changed if you are only concerned about the codes you actually use.

Correct coding reduces dental claim rejection and leads to quicker reimbursement.

I'm happy to answer any questions you have about getting these codes in place for your office.

Sincerely,

Ryan
