MS Walk Warm Up
&
Studio VZF Wins TC 10K Team Spirit Award

Since 2012, Studio VZF has supported the fight to end multiple sclerosis by leading the warm up for Scotiabank MS Walk.  This year is no different.

Please join us on Sunday, May 3rd @ 9:30am at Marigold Elementary School (NEW LOCATION! 3751 Grange Rd. Victoria BC, V8Z 4T2) to get the 450+ participants revved up and ready to walk to beat MS.  We need you to encourage the walkers to throw off any inhibitions and shake what their mama gave them!

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system which is composed of the brain and spinal cord. The disease attacks the myelin which is a protective covering wrapped around the nerves of the central nervous system.

The money raised through the Scotiabank MS Walk will fund research with three primary goals: to find a cause and cure for MS, repair nervous system damage caused by MS and stop MS attacks. It will also provide support and services to people living with MS, as well as their families and caregivers.

Studio VZF is committed to this organization for personal reasons ... one of our best and most loved instructors, Connie, was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago.  We do this for her and all the others who are affected by this disease.

Please join us!

News Flash:
Studio VZF Wins The 2015 Times-Colonist 10K
Corporate Team Spirit Award!

Last weekend, 12 members of the Studio VZF Family participated in the 26th Annual 10K (we danced the route so we may have done up to 15K).  Of course, we were neither quiet nor subtle. Zumba tunes blared from our wireless, speaker, our outfits were outrageous and not a single police officer was unable to resist (or avoid) swinging or do-se-do-ing with one of us as their partners.

It was fabulous, it was fun, it was friendship and it was fitness - which pretty well sums up Zumba with Studio VZF.  We can-canned across the finish line and were promptly awarded the Corporate Team Spirit Award.  Thanks to Nancy Wyckoff for organizing all the wackiness!  Can't wait to do it next year!
